The judge involve in the case of the Offa Bank robbery suspects has adjourned the case to another eleven days, January 18th, 2019.
It would be recalled that Justice Halima Saliman had fixed, Monday, January 7th for the definite hearing of this the case.
But on Monday, the prosecution counsel asked for the adjournment of the definite hearing of the case, disclosing that the witnesses and exhibits for the trial has not Kwara State.
The counsel, Jimoh Mumini, stressed that presence of the witnesses was necessary because failure of the police to produce such could affect the proceedings but their presence will assist in the commencement of the definite hearing of the case.
Addressing the court, the DPP disclosed that he had made three telephone calls to the police headquarters in Abuja before been informed yesterday that the witnesses and the exhibits would be brought to Kwara state on Monday, 7th January, 2019.
He told the court that, Deputy commissioner of police, Abba Kyari who led the investigation pleaded with him to urge the court to vacate the order definite hearing earlier fixed for Monday.
The defence counsel, Mathias Emeribe did not object to the plea and also agreed with the prosecution that the case be adjourned till January the 18th.
