In what appears to be a major outage, the world largest social networks, Facebook and Instagram, on Wednesday, crashed for many hours, leaving many users frustrated.
Both services started experiencing issues at around 2 pm on Wednesday before they were both knocked offline, disrupting many users activities.
Many of the thousands of users affected took to rival social network Twitter to complain about the lack of service they experienced.
It was observed that users in Nigeria, England, United State of America (USA), and some countries, appear to be the worst affected, although problems were also reported elsewhere in European countries.
Some users claim it is just the desktop versions of the websites that are offline, while others say they are also unable to access the social networks on their mobile devices.
